This study group comprises twofold aims of investigation. Radiocarbon analyses are carried out at KIK-IRPA, Brussels, in order to determine the date of textile production, as well as chemical analyses of dyes and mordants. The scientific methods used to detect the original colours of the textiles, methods of context and content interpretation are employed at the same time in order to determine sociological information.
