On July 27, 2008, the Naturhistorisches Museum Vienna, and the Marktgemeinde Hallstatt conduct a festival on the history of Hallstatt in the Bronze Age, the so called Hallstattzeit and the Late Antiquity.

Various archaeological tasks will be presented and the special focus will be the dress of ancient people. This section is conducted by Dr. Karina Grömer and Dr. Helga Mautendofer. They have reproduced 25 to 30 children's dresses for kids in the age of 4 to 12. Children are asked to dress up in these clothes, Mrs. Grömer and Mrs. Mautendorfer will help them and tell lots of stories on individual persons in ancient times. When dressed up, children will receive their picture as a souvenir.
