The CTR held a conference on "Military and Textiles" at the University of Copenhagen. The first day of the three day conference, May 20, 2008,  was dedicated to "Ancient Textiles and Military" in early historical contexts, while the other days dealt with medieval and modern military and textiles.

A publication of the conference papers is scheduled for 2010.
